underground vibes...

words by 13th: I don’t intend for this to be viewed as just another skate video. It’s not about tripods and trying to cram as many tricks into a clip as you can. This is Beyond that.

For me, It’s meant to be a Visual Journey.

My Interpretation of a place i once called Home myself.

Tokyo!

Come Follow SHINGO and I, as We cruise the night streets of Shibuya & Harajuku!!

something to think about...

from day 1 something was different, interesting & ambiguous.
an adventure took place and a friendship began.
missed opportunity with shared passion for life, hip hop and fashion
created a partnership and here we stand.
creators of a new breed.
two completely different individuals bound for greatness...

"better than the past...untouchable by the future"

determination in addition to discipline creates boundless success

the jay-z experience...

im in story mode because this was my first jay-z concert and it was once to remember.
so im about to take you through most of the journey...enjoy

jay-z, wale and j.cole along with n.e.r.d was on a college tour all over the nation. n.e.r.d's last show was the night before ours and due to some difficulties, jay cancelled the rest of his shows on the tour thus being the show at vanderbilt was his last one. rolling 14 deep we headed to phatkaps boutique to catch wale doing a in-store meet and greet.

wale in phatkaps...(we were late so we caught him on the way out)

the crew posted in phatkaps (dope photo...i know)

by the time we left phatkaps, it was time to head straight to the concert...this is when i started to get excited. before we went to the gymnasium, the whole crew had to jump fresh...in a hotel lobby's bathroom...hahaha...thats how we do.

walking to the door

waiting on everyone else...half the crew took a pic

uncle pip and c.lew

if we dont do anything else...its shoes!

this is what it looked like when we walked in...(video by jmillz)

then we posted up for a pic...standouts

unmistakably cool. x kreativ.sole

the countdown...one of the most monumental moments (video by jmillz)

teelarge, dre2003, pip, c.lew, dev, charles, maine,
ty, atx, c.short, k.tims and jmillz shout out to all my StandOuTs!

hbcu experience...

not ashamed to say it but i will be a 5th year senior that will be graduating from alabama a&m university may 14th, 2010. i have come to experience a few things and its one thats not sitting well with me...
in my opinion, hbcu's focuses too much greek organizations.

***BEFORE I REALLY START SHARING MY OPINION...I HAVE FAMILY AND FRIENDS IN EACH AND EVERY GREEK ORGANIZATION...I HAVE RESPECT/LOVE FOR THEM ALL AND I MEAN NO HARM OR DISRESPECT WHEN I SHARE THIS***

a few of my friends are in greek organizations and we were having a conversation, when it hit me...when on a hbcu campus...
  • its certain words or phrases you might not be able to say that you normally use in everyday conversation or in a joke because an organization has deemed it there's.
  • you cant wear certain colors to an event or sometimes period or they/people will think that you want to be in that certain organization with those colors.
  • you cant really listen to certain songs cause they are so called just for that organization when they stroll.
  • you may not be able to dance a certain way or people will think that you are doing apart of someone's stroll.

i thought to myself...that sucks. you basically have to walk on ice or people will jump down your throat. ***AGAIN NO DISRESPECT*** but damn can i live??? ive come to gripes that there are bigger things in the world then this but when you are in the atmosphere of a hbcu, they make it seem like either you're greek or just a regular ass person.

i will say, MAYBE its something that i just dont see cause im not in one...all im focused on is graduating, making my family happy and building my own empire. this petty stuff that surrounds colleges period is childish and very immature.

this is just my opinion...everybody has one.

maestro knows - nyc edition (anoma ya whittaker)

levi maestro is really getting to document some interesting people in the maestro knows series. its not so much about his life but people that he admires. this time he meets with the fashion director of complex magazine, anoma whittaker.

i know why i blog but i could never put it into words until i watched this video:
"sometimes its not all about being the coolest kid on the block...
its about just helping get across a message in a very obtainable way.
its always about having fun...
getting across information but it not really being that deep"

lushlife...

last week i was in kreativ.sole and uncle pip came through to chill. we got to chatting it up and he gets on youtube to tell me about this young guy who has amazing talent and that i might be blown out the water when i hear him...(watch video)...

so after hearing this guy spit Jay verbatim, in a church (hahaha), i was amazed. lushlife, the philidephia bread artist, is one of many different genres. he indulges not only in hip hop but jazz, blues and electronica music. its another breath of fresh air to hip hop. be on the look out for him.

p.s. i need some glasses like that!

p.p.s. thats classic jay-z...dead presidents I

im not hating...just my opinion(trey songz video)

so within the last 24 hrs, trey songz web released his new video invented sex. this has drove the internet or should i say women on the internet crazy.

i would first like to commend trey songz on an excellent marketing scheme on twitter to promote his video. i didnt know that it was really that important. i would also tip my hat to him because the girl in the video is quite the looker. and one more big ups to him because actually like the song.

NOW...i really want to know what it is that trey songz did to make these girls panties all wet and ready to drop?...what?...grab a little ass?...bite a lip?...use some ice?...i dont get it! now im not about to put all my business out in the street, cause my mother reads the blog (hey mom, I LOVE YOU), but i know that plenty of you ladies have been treated like that by a man before and probably didnt get as excited as ya'll were to watch someone else get that same treatment. ya'll might have had an experience like that 2 nights ago and probably didnt appreciate it as much as seeing trey songz.

from the comments that ive seen on facebook and twitter, you would have thought that it was an actual porno by west coast productions. but it wasnt. we have seen that type of behavior in videos before. some of ya'll women looked kind of "bopper'ish"..."track star'ish"..."runner'ish"...if you dont know what those few words mean then ask somebody.

let me please reiterate that i am not hating at all. this is just my opinion but now you women are out here looking for a "trey songz" when you might have something good already with you, trying to get you or maybe havent met you yet. so dont miss out on something good thinking trey is going to walk through your front door. i hope ya'll can come back to reality now.

i cant be the HYPEBEAST, like most will, and post this video but i will give the link so you can watch it, if you havent already.

no hate from me...the song is still dope.

real nigga separation...vol. 6

oh shit...its volume 6 (i like the way that rhymed). it seemed like yesterday when i was writing vol. 5...oh well. i dont have that much to talk about today. the past two weeks have not been that exciting. a lot of people told me that i let it all out on vol. 5 as if i was holding some stuff inside. i did get a lot out that i didnt even know was there. i just started typing. like im doing now...so lets see how this goes.

this past week i watched 1st and 10 with skip bayless and one of my favorite athletes, chad ochocinco. as i was watching it, ochocinco said something that applied to my life that i never thought about. he said skip bayless makes statements based on 'shock value'. i heard that and let it sit for a second. i then get back on some of the many social networks that im on and see that SOME people (meaning more than ONE) says things about me and its based on shock value. that means they are saying stuff to get my attention or a response out of me. so when skip bayless said something so blasphemous, ochocinco just let it slide off and kept his cool. that is what i deciding to do. so subliminal messages about me can keep coming. i got my eyes focused on more important things...'shock value'...look out for it.

this has been a great week for music. i cant keep up on my itunes. lets see...mike posner mixtape, wiz khalifa mixtape, new lupe, and micheal jackson mixtape (yea i said it)...oh yea and lil wayne. im pretty most of you have that lil wayne mixtapes because i see his quotes everywhere. i listened to it the first day and then i was tired of it. catchy phrases and all but it got boring quick to me. some people acting like its the best thing since barack became president. some niggas try to even rap like wayne...whack!

lets get to some positivity...Unmistakably CooL...ok thats positive enough. i just like seeing the name. i dont know if you know but its going places. there is no looking back.
"im so far ahead my time im bout to start another life..
look behind you, im bout to pass you twice..."
-jay-z

november 2nd is my nieces 14th bday and im pissed at myself for not being home to see her. ive missed 5 years of bday's for my niece and nephew. i want her and my nephew to know that i love them very much. ive made a promise to myself that i will make it home for both of their bdays from now on. so 10th and 15th i will be there.

picked up some new reading material...

cool thoughts:
  • i want to say THANK YOU to ALL of my followers on the blog. 2 weeks ago i had 35 but after RNS vol. 5, it increased to 41. i appreciate EVERYONE. to everybody else, dont be afraid to click the follow button on the right.
  • shout out to teeLARGE and dre2003 @ kreativ.sole they fam and support me just as much as i support them.
  • yankees or phillies?
  • shout out to my homie Q @ www.freshnporper.com :: he blog, own radio show and write for slamonline...tell me he not grinding...inspiration fa real.
  • im under a few acts now...focused on my goals (graduating then doing what i love)
  • need more tats
  • i wish people would stop trying to come at jay-z. he has nothing to worry about. how many rappers can say they performed at the yankee world series game....dont worry i'll wait.
  • i just want to live a simple life...none of that extra shit.
for those who dont like that use foul language, i really dont care because my mama reads these and applauds them...lol

i love my mama, daddy, sisters, niece and nephew

this might be the last real nigga separation for a while...
might wait 3 weeks cause 2 is seeming to short.
guess we'll have to see...

peace,
